We find that through being a member of Walker Wayland, we have a wider group of resources we can utilise through getting simple advice to a client in an area we are unfamiliar with from other member firms to giving and gaining work referrals.
And everything inbetween.
This association has broadened our network and are able to bounce ideas or liaise with different firms for advice. i.e. we had a client moving a business to NZ and was able to liaise with an accounting contact and refer to them as engaged from a perspective of assisting the client and assisting the network. But know we can trust who we are dealing with
We have multiple clients that have expanded into New Zealand. Being able to introduce them to a firm we know and trust and work alongside them to ensure full compliance has been and will continue to be a great advantage for our clients.
We truly value our relationships and knowledge that we acquire through being a member of Walker Wayland.
In the event we have a question or need assistance there is always someone within the association that is happy to assist whether this is a technical or practice related matter.
We gain a lot of value from the regular benchmarking that is undertaken across the association to ensure we are running our practice at the highest possible level.
Realising the issues we encounter are felt by others no matter where they are in Australia or NZ is comforting. Being able to hook in with them to brainstorm solutions is definitely of value to us.
We’ve had our minds broadened by seeing how other firms work and function. We have taken some of these learnings and implemented them at Lincolns. I know this has been reciprocated.
We’ve also been able to implement great benefits for our team such as the Employee Assistance Programme and the Reward Gateway.
We’ve gained a lot of insights from the benchmarks.
Collaborating and sharing ideas and experience with the leaders from other practices has led to improvements in internal processes (e.g. sharing resources and training regarding policies and processes), better and cost-effective support solutions (Citation HR), and better outcomes for WWA employees (Acacia EAP, WWA Rewards Program).
In addition, by expanding our networking and relationships with the firms in WWA, we have been able to offer our clients and colleagues a wider range of skillsets and knowledge, and this has enhanced our ability to provide more resources and solutions when needed. Likewise, our skills in niche areas have helped to make other members of WWA increase their exposure and service offerings. For example, our experience and expertise in insolvency administrations and safe harbour protections, has enabled a small business to continue trading, also enabling another WWA member to keep an ongoing audit client. So a winning outcome for all!
Walker Wayland’s diversified and national/international membership represents the interests of thousands of successful business owners.
